Description
It is a 2-crew plus 8 to 12 passengers (nine standard). It has two Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PW306D FADEC-controlled turbofan engines. The presence of hidden fuel compartments in the wings provides generous service for this type of aircraft for its destinations. There is additional storage space for luggage in the cabin and tail section.

The Citation Sovereign + uses an advanced wing selected for low aerodynamic drag and safe approach and landing characteristics. The winglets maintain low aerodynamic drag and are designed to improve performance characteristics. The 3-post design provides both wing structural integrity and high internal volume for its integral fuel tanks. In the center wing section, a shallow drop allows for a seamless fuselage attachment of the cabin section. Composite fairings blend the wing and fuselage for minimum drag.
Electrically arranged aluminum Fowler flaps on all three wing sections and hydraulically actuated spoilers are used for lift, damping, drag and roll control.
Conventional winglets are mounted near the wingtips. The wing leader edges are anti-iced using engine bleed air. The winglets include navigation and anti-collision lights and static wicks. The main and nose landing gear use dual wheel sets. The landing gear retraction system is electrically controlled and hydraulically actuated.
