The medium-range Learjet 45 is one of the rare jets that integrates new technology with its successful old design. The biggest feature of a Learjet is that it combines speed and economy with the formation of a high quality jet.

The Learjet 45XR covers 2,301 miles (1,999 nautical miles) non-stop and has a cruising speed of 437 knots. It has two AlliedSignal TFE731-20BR turbofan engines providing 3500 pounds of power at takeoff.

When the original Learjet45 was in the design phase, the FAA introduced standards for anti-ice systems. This series has the most advanced anti-ice system in the mid-sized jet group. Its engine was redesigned for complete ice removal for the anti-icing system. When the aircraft is on take-off, the air load balancing engines increase thrust and increase the rate of climb using the ice removal system. In this way, it provides an even air bleed system between the two engines. The other 45XR model has the same system.
The Learjet 45XR is certified to 75 safety standards, almost identical to the safety standards required for Boeing 777s, with 25 modifications. Its fuselage is made of high-strength aluminum alloys. The precision of the computer-controlled manufacturing process increases the production speed.
